    Graduate Assistantships

A small number of competitive graduate assistantships are available each year for full-time graduate students. These assistantships pay for 30 quarter hours of courses per year as well as pay a $9000 annual stipend.

Recipients of graduate assistantships are required to work twenty hours per week for the chemistry department during Autumn, Winter, and Spring quarters. Duties include serving as a teaching assistant in lab, grading, and tutoring undergraduates in chemistry.

Recipient decisions are made no later than July 1 for Autumn of the following school year. Recipients must make satisfactory progress in both departmental work assignments and coursework to maintain graduate assistant stuatus.

Any student interested in an assistantship must complete and submit an application to the graduate program director prior to June 1 to be considered.

Graduate Assistantships may be renewed for one year after the first year of service. Please download and complete the renewal application if you're eligible and interested.
