    A student wishing to minor in chemistry normally must take seven courses in the department from among the following:

    Chemistry
    111 General and Analytical Chemistry I
    113 General and Analytical Chemistry II
    115 General and Analytical Chemistry III
    (Better prepared students may substitute 131, 133 below for 111-115 above)
    131 General Chemistry I
    133 General Chemistry II
    171 Mechanistic Organic Chemistry I or 121 Organic Chemistry I
    173 Mechanistic Organic Chemistry II or 123 Organic Chemistry II
    205 Quantitative Analysis or 207 Analytical Techniques

    One course from among the following:
    210 Physical Chemistry I
    (requires 192 Mathematical Methods of Chemistry)
    240 Introductory Biochemistry
    265 Air Chemistry
    267 Water Chemistry of Natural Systems
    269 Solid Waste Chemistry
